On Wednesday 18th Oct 2023, we held our annual pink fun day, raising money for Breast cancer research. Captain Di welcomed everyone, before the 33 ladies dressed in pink, went out to play a 3 ball ambrose in beautiful weather. Thankyou to Cheryl Excell for picking up our Patroness Nola Fisher and bringing her out for a spin around the course watching what I’m sure was some interesting golf at times. The clubhouse was filled with chatter after play whilst the ladies enjoyed lunch before the winners of the day were announced. Congratulations to Carmel King, Marcia Ryan & Anna Dawes for winning the day (I was lucky to witness Carmel drop a HUGE 50ft putt on the 16th green for a group birdie). Runners up were Deb Jarret, Fran Guy & Fleur Finlayson. Non Golfers prizes – Our lovely Mayor Liz Goossens managed a couple of NTP’s, Jules Langley a longest putt and Sharon Tink a great Ferrett from 4m off the green (or is that a lizard Shaz??). The day ended with the raffle draw which consisted of many prizes ( I can’t tell you how many there were…. just lots! ).Well done to everyone involved and thank you all for your kind donations. It was a very successful day and to all our visitors I hope you enjoyed your day and we will see you back on the course soon. ⛳️♀️
